New England Brittany Rescue is a group of volunteers which rescues stray, abandoned, or relinquished Brittanys in New England,  and Pennsylvania areas.  To that end, we provide medical and foster care to Brittanys until a "forever" family can be found.  We work in conjunction with various rescue organizations throughout the US to find forever homes for Brittanys in need.

The primary goal of NEBR is to protect Brittanys and educate the public about the breed.  We also provide general breed education for prospective Brittany owners as well as advice and training resources.  Our adoptive families know they can always contact a member of NEBR for any advice for their new family member.

New England Brittany rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3, tax-exempt corporation.  All donations and adoption fees are used toward the care of our rescued Brittanys.   In most cases the adoption fees we collect do not cover the medical needs of our charges, so donations are always welcome.

Another way to make a donation to help Brittanys in need is through the IGive.com network.

Purchases made from companies such as Lands End, LL Bean, Dell Computers through the IGive network are eligible for donations from those companies.

What Geographical Area Does NEBR Cover?

NEBR covers New England states, Pennsylvania, and New York

Hello all Brittany parents!!

As you are well aware, each of our rescue dogs have been put into situations totally out of their control. We are their voice!  We need help from our extended Brittany family. New England Brittany Rescue is currently helping a little girl, Gabriella, (pictured)  an 11 week old who only weighs five pounds; she needs a life saving surgery.  The cost of the surgery is over fifteen hundred dollars. Last week a one year old Brittany,  Morrison, underwent hip surgery for over a thousand dollars.  We need to raise money for these dogs as well as many others in need.

After investigating some ways to raise money for our furry kids, our ongoing Shaw’s Rewards Receipts Program has proven successful, raising over $250. this year. If you are not familiar with this fund  raiser, here's how it works. All you have to do is shop at Shaw’s Supermarkets and mail your intact receipts to one of our volunteers and we receive 1% of the receipts submitted. Please tell everyone you know about our ongoing Shaw’s Rewards Receipts and Star Market (MA only) and mail your receipts to Lorraine Perella, 17 James Ave, Middleton MA  01949.

Another fund raiser we hope to launch, is called “Got Books.”  To get started, we need to place a bin on a  property, in a fairly busy location.  Once the bin is at a location, books are dropped off by people who travel that area.   Many people have used books in their homes and would be willing to drop them off for a worthy cause.    The bin would need to be checked periodically and a call placed to “Got Books” when it’s full.  The company would come out, empty the bin and give our organization a check for the books deposited based on the weight.  For this fund raiser, we are looking for someone who has a connection to or is the owner of a property in a busy location that would allow us to place the bin.

As another way to raise money, we are planning a flea market/yard sale on Sunday, August 24th and are looking for donations of saleable goods (and maybe some volunteers to help). It will be held in Grafton, in central Massachusetts. If you have any items to donate for the yard sale please call Janice Harvie @ 508-839-5232 or e-mail Kaylabutton@aol.com

If you have any ideas on other fund raisers or are willing to chair one, please contact Christine Leachman-Yee  @ 603-284-7272 or e-mail clyk9s@gmail.com

Again, we thank you for the second chance you have given to these beautiful family companions.  We truly are their voice and you are the heroes who have made a difference.  Please consider these fund raisers for our Brittanys.

Monetary donations are always appreciated. To donate to Gabriella or Morrison click the links below, for a general donation please go to the following link Make a donation

Thank you,

The Board at New England Brittany Rescue

and of course our Brittanys, who have left their paw prints on our hearts.
